Instructional Workshop support

To ensure the most effective classroom use of Savvas programs, we are pleased to offer Professional Development quarterly, on the designated Staff Development days. Below are listings of the options available to Chicago Public School teachers. Contact your local Account Manager for onsite support, or with any questions.

Program Activation
(Year 1 Teachers)

These sessions are designed to provide teachers with the basic program components they need to help ensure success on Day 1 in the classroom, including print and digital features of the program. These sessions are interactive and include post-work, application-oriented activities, such as planning a lesson, so participants can immediately practice and apply what they have learned. Program Activation alone does not ensure implementation fidelity, but it will provide teachers with the basic tools needed to get started.

Program Implementation Essentials (Years 2-6 Teachers)

Participants will dig into the components, instructional design, and structure of the program. Participants will practice applying specific features and design elements (including instructional philosophy, lesson structure, and content) to classroom practice through hands-on activities and observation of a demonstrated lesson. Learn how to use resources that will take your students to the next level of learning, and explore ways to enhance instruction for the 21st century learners.
