PARAMUS, NEW JERSEY — August 25, 2021 — The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) has named Savvas Learning Company’s SuccessMaker® and the iLit™ Suite programs as approved evidence-based academic interventions for Mississippi students. This follows the MDE’s previous approval for statewide adoption of several leading PreK-12 core literacy solutions offered by Savvas.

The latest approval by the MDE’s Office of Intervention Services paves the way for Mississippi school districts to implement Savvas Learning Company’s high-quality instructional materials that are aligned to the science of reading and address unfinished learning. The programs, which feature curricula offering coherence and consistency for learning in person or at home, meet the allowable use requirements of the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER Fund), providing educators with evidence-based programs to help address the academic impact of lost instructional time.
